Causes of Hair Breakage
1. Poor Diet : What you put in is what you are going to get out! If you don't eat as well as you should , you are bound to have unhealthy hair. Foods that are high in sodium such as snacks can cause hair to shed. Sugary foods can reduce the absorption of protein which is important for the structure of bones, teeth and hair.
2. Tight Ponytail: Pulling your hair back into a ponytail is stylish but be careful about the effect it could have on your hair. If it is too tight it can cause stress at the hairline. You should also be cautious of some hair accessories that tug and pinch.
3. You Skip Trimming : If you avoid trimming your split end, they will end up breaking off. Include regular trim off in your calendar for a healthier, break -resistant hair.
4. Excessive use of chemicals: The regular use of dyes, curl relaxers and perms can cause hair breakage. Certain chemicals such as peroxide and hydroxide ions present in these products can cause damage to your hair.
5. Weight loss: How possible is this? Well... when you lose weight you may experience hair loss several months after you drop the weight regardless of how slowly the weight is shed. But not to worry... Your hair will eventually return to been healthy.
6. Dry hair: Our hair is fragile so we need to protect it. The hair is at its weakest point when dry. So, don't comb your hair when it is dry .It is best to comb your hair when it is mildly damp , not wet. Apply a leave _in_ conditioner then spritz before you comb.
