WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING A BRIDAL BOUQUET

 Hello beautiful people

I recently saw a bride's bouquet and I wished I was the one getting married. Lol. The bouquet was beautiful. The flowers used were well arranged. I couldn't help but fall in love with it. While admiring the bouquet and decorations it occurred to me that choosing the right bouquet might have been a challenge to the bride. Therefore the service of a good florist was needed.

Well...if you are planning your wedding and you have not thought of the kind of flowers and floral arrangement you want for your bouquet and wedding venue respectively, get in here we have some tips for you!

Work with your colour scheme

The flowers and colours you choose should match your wedding style. For example if you want a small outdoor wedding, opt for garden style arrangements that are minimal and beautiful.

Ensure a uniform look

Work with your florist to get the perfect arrangement.  When you have chosen an arrangement for your bouquet then your florist can proceed with the bridesmaid bouquet and aisle markers. This doesn't have to be the same with the bridal bouquet. Just make sure you use some of the same flowers to get a uniform look.

Let your wedding dress influence your floral choice

A bridal bouquet is an accessory that should compliment not overshadow the wedding dress. A full detailed dress suits a big bouquet with mixed flowers and  a small bouquet is best for a simple dress i.e the bigger the dress the bigger the bouquet.

Consider the season

Each flower has it's season and knowing the different kinds that are available in each season will make the flowers look fresh when they are arranged. Also it's cost effective and will save your florist the stress of searching for a flower that's not in season.

Budget

Your budget will determine the type of flowers to use in your bouquet , floral decorations and centerpieces. So sit down and carefully analyse how much you can afford.

Size of the bouquet

Size does matter. If you are petite don't let your flowers overshadow you. Don't forget to minimize the fragrance, you don't want to sneeze on your way down the aisle or while saying "I do".

How to hold your bouquet

Most brides hold their bouquet with two hands and carry it high thereby raising their shoulders up.This isn't picture friendly because it won't  create a great pose for your photographer. So how should I hold my bouquet? Hold your bouquet in one hand, below your hip and slightly away from your dress.

We hope you find this helpful.
